Will McCain waste Palin?

Will McCain waste Palin?  Perhaps for this election.  But the more appropriate question is, “Will Palin be wasted politically by this campaign?”  No, I don’t think we’ve seen the last of her.  I think that, if Obama strolls into the White House next January, Palin will go back to AK, where she will use the political capital she has banked through this national exposure to truly become that pit bull that the Republican Party so desperately needs.  I don’t know if she’ll run again on a presidential ticket (certainly not in 2012), but I bet she’ll begin casting her gaze beyond the Alaskan horizon and into national politics within the next 4-6 years.  Rep. Palin, Sen. Palin, RNC advisor/chairperson…the possibilities are endless for her.

A young Democrat’s epiphany

This popular posting/email is a very good illustration of the mindset of liberals vs. conservatives.

I was talking to my friend’s little girl, and she said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, very Liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, ‘If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?’

She replied, ‘I’d give houses to all the homeless people.’

‘Wow…what a worthy goal.’ I told her. ‘You don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that. You can come over to my house and mow, pull weeds, and sweep my yard, and I’ll pay you $50. Then I’ll take you over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward a new house.’

She thought that over for a few seconds while her Mom glared at me, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, ‘Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?

And I said, ‘Welcome to the Republican Party.’

Her folks still aren’t talking to me.

New Palin scandal: She took my Red Stapler

Hot Air is providing us with more information on Sarah Palin’s ‘lack’ of thriftiness. It is amazing what people will gripe about when there is nothing to gripe about.

CF’s favorite comment on the article is:

But… but… she took my Red STAPLER…

Higgs boson quest might stir up strangelets

He is ready to race those particles

g, the LHC will start busting protons with hopes of finding the secret decoder ring to the universe inside.

Lawsuits abound about how these ‘vicious’ scientist might create an all consuming blackhole and end the presidentail election early.   One of the funnier descriptions of possibilities to come out of smashing particles together is the creation of ‘strangelets’

He also is concerned that when the collider creates a soup of free-flying quarks, some of those quarks might recombine in a hazardous way — creating a stable, negatively charged “strangelet” that could turn everything it touches into more strangelets.

To give you an idea of what Strangelets have teh power of doing check out these before and after videos:

Conservative Hollywood

David Zucker is greatness

David Zucker is greatness

There’s a movie coming out in October by David Zucker (who made The Kentucky Fried Movie, Airplane!, Top Secret!, and the Naked Gun movies) that parodies Michael Moore, Islamofacists, etc.  This article is about that movie.  What’s interesting is the discussion about Hollywood Conservatives (names are named; some you already know to be conservative and others will be surprises).  This is being billed as an unabashed CONSERVATIVE movie for pro-America people.  “Surely you can’t be serious!”  Yes, I am serious.  Dead serious.  And don’t call me Shirley.

There is also a little write up on this film over at another conservative view site.

Proof that Republicans are superior

That is the title that was in a current e-mail from my friend.   He added this in the body of the e-mail:

I wonder what a donkey could score.

I do not think he is off his rocker, but the superior adjective might be a little out there on this one.

Sarah Palin versus Media

Our conservative friend thought this politcal cartoon was worth a forward to multiple friends.  I do think Mrs. Palin will whoop up on some media.
